Cool Things to Do at BYU


Wow, Fall semester is just around the corner! It's time to start thinking about coming to BYU! Some of you may be wondering what there is to do on campus. What can you do to get involved? What is there to do for fun?

Well, today we wanted to tell you about two really awesome programs offered to any full-time student at BYU.

1) YServe

YServe is BYU's service organization that strives to provide meaningful opportunities for service to every BYU student. They offer an assortment of different activities, allowing everyone the chance to serve while doing something they are passionate about. Here are a few examples of the service opportunities offered:

Sports Hero Day—an event where you can help kids meet their favorite BYU athletes!

Tutoring—help struggling BYU students learn material that you have already mastered.

Habitat for Humanity—help build homes and hope for families in need.

Healthcare—Six different partner programs, allowing you to serve in many different aspects of healthcare

Best Buddies—an international program with a chapter at BYU that seeks to help individuals with both intellectual and developmental disabilities.

2) Intramural Sports

Intramural sports are a great way to get involved and stay active. A wide variety of sports is offered each semester including (but not limited to!) soccer, basketball, ultimate frisbee, water polo, flag football, tennis, badminton, dodgeball, softball, and kickball.

BYU offers so many options to stay active to try to provide a chance get involved not only physically, but socially as well! Intramural activities are a great way to meet new people, try something new, or just have fun. Click here for more information and to see a list of their activities!
