Hi y'all! My name is Kamora Shelton and I am a sophomore studying Physical Education Teaching and Coaching. This is my first semester in the program, and I am so excited to be a student ambassador and share my major with you!
I am the oldest of five kids, and I love my family so much! They are all my best friends. Both my parents went to BYU, and I grew up always wanting to follow their footsteps. I started at BYU in fall 2021, left to serve a mission in Santos Brazil, and now I am back!
Growing up, I participated in a lot of sports, and that is where my passion for teaching and coaching started. I have moved many times to Utah, Washington, Arizona, Antigua, Tennessee, and Georgia, and I went to four different high schools. To make friends in each new school, I would join a sports team. It was a great way to be involved in the school, make new friends, and stay physically active. I decided to join the PETE program to give my future students/athletes these opportunities too!
In my free time, I love to hang out with friends, play ultimate frisbee, go rock climbing, and create art. My favorite type of art is watercolor, but I love graphic design as well.
