Hello! My name is Annie Jacobson, and I am a junior majoring in Early Childhood Education. This program holds a big piece of my heart and I am excited to share that love with some of you!
I am the youngest of 5 children in my loud, crazy family! My siblings are some of the most Christ-like examples in my life. They are fun-loving and everything I hope to be one day. I was raised in Mesa, Arizona and I love any excuse to visit home. That being said, I have loved living in Utah because of the mountains and cool climate!
One of my favorite things to do is visit Lake Powell with my family. I love Lake Powell because I get to surf, cliff jump, and spend time with the people I love. Some other hobbies of mine include baking, running, long drives, and chatting with friends.
I came to BYU with little sense of direction and I did not know what I wanted to be. I immediately fell in love with the culture here at BYU, but I still felt slightly out of place. When I found the Mckay School I felt like I found a place where I belonged.
Unlike a lot of people, I found my love for teaching after I got to college. I grew to love learning about children in my Human Development class, and that is where I felt the first spark! I am excited to continue learning here at BYU and eventually become the educator I aspire to be.
